TIME magazine announced their 2014 Person of the Year. The magazine itself decided to name the Ebola fighters as their Person of the Year, while readers selected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as their choice in an online vote.
There were 8 contenders, which were all announced earlier this week. The contenders were NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, president of the Iraqi Kurdish region Masoud Barzani, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Jack Ma, founder of Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba, Taylor Swift, Vladimir Putin, as well as the Ebola caregivers and the Ferguson protestors.
